Have I succeeded? NO. Well, not really. I have been trying to 'eliminate' some extra things. Turns out, I'm super bad at saying 'NO'. I hate it, in fact. I don't like to let people down. However, I have come to realize that if i take on too much, I won't be giving it 100%.
That being said, I think the only thing that I've actually said NO to lately was being involved in the Christmas program at my church this year. Again, not that i don't want to do it, just trying to cut back.
Speaking of cutting back, Girl Scouts is done for the season. Whew! There were times that I wasn't sure I knew what I was doing. Luckily for me, I have a co-op troop (all parents are involved) and they help out a lot. I mean, A LOT! A big shout out to my Girl Scout moms and dads. I honestly can't believe that my oldest is now a Junior! I didn't think we'd be in Girl Scouts this long. We are still having so much fun, the girls teach ME something new each meeting.
Now that the weather is nice, I have been trying to get out an work on some projects. I just finished a crib skirt and valance for a friend of mine for her new little guy's room. I will post a picture once everything is in it's place. I have also been asked by another friend of mine to make a valance, crib skirt and bumper pads for her little girl who will be arriving in September. This particular friend and I have a lot of the same likes and 'taste' so it will be a fun project!
Speaking of babies, I"m going to be an Auntie again in September!! My B/SIL are having their first baby. They had a gender reveal party last weekend. It's a.....
So many babies, so many projects. I hope I can keep up. I do it because I love it!
